In the first exercise the five groups came up with the following areas they would like to be addressed during the workshop:

1 Learn something interestiing; Learn something useful

We hope this has happened :-)
2 Develop a web 2.0 eco-system (workflow). Play with the technology to find what it can do.

Workflow: RSS for output and integration. Web Services to address workflow??
3 How to collaborate. How to sort the information.

4 Sustainability and longevity of services and data.

5 How we can apply new mobile technologies to teaching and learning
How to get over institutional barriers to Web 2.0.

This summary was made by Adrian Stevenson, one of the workshop facilitators.

Note that the information given above was used in the second group exercise, which is available elsewhere in this Wiki.

In addition, this information was also summarised by Scott Wilson, another oftheof the workshop facilitators, on the 43Things.com Web site.

Also note the the workshop facilitators have produced the following responses:

1 Learn something interestiing; Learn something useful

We hope this has happened :-)

2 Develop a web 2.0 eco-system (workflow). Play with the technology to find what it can do.

Workflow issues: RSS can be valuable for output and integration. Web Services technologies may address the broader workflow issues, but this is a non-trivial issue.

3 How to collaborate. How to sort the information.

The workshop session rpovided an opportunity to make use of a number of lighweight communications and collaboration tools.
SprtoingSorting information may be more difficult - however we did mentuion the importance of folksonomies (tags) for pulling together related information from a variety of sources.

4 Sustainability and longevity of services and data.

We mentioned a risk management approach to use of Web 2.0 services.

5 How we can apply new mobile technologies to teaching and learning
How to get over institutional barriers to Web 2.0.

We discussed these issues during the workshop.
